Let’s “get down” to business. In my first class, we touched on the basics. We went over the different planes, directions, and timing. We learned the 1.5, 2 and 3 beat weave, pendulums, windmills, stalls, stall chasers, butterfly, prayer wraps, different variations of flowers, and more. If you have a general understanding of most of these moves and want to continue your journey with poi – This class is for you! Through these 8 weeks, we will touch up on old moves and introduce a set of brand-new moves. We will also focus more on transitions to move from one thing to the next. I will introduce tosses, and well as a basic 2poi1hand introduction. I would love for you to continue your journey with me!
When graduation day comes around, you’ll be ready to light it up! On the last day of class we will meet at an outdoor location to light up our props. We will go over safety procedure and protocol. Basically everything you need to know about dancing with fire!
